Enjoy a relaxing holiday in rural Limburg

Have you ever heard of the lovely Limburg village of Arcen? Here, you will find a great holiday park with a nice recreational lake and an indoor swimming pool with a clear layout. It is ideal for families with young children. And Roompot Resort Arcen is also an excellent destination for those seeking peace and quiet and for nature and history lovers. You could, for example, go cycling through De Maasduinen National Park or walking through the romantic castle gardens.

Amid forests and heathlands

The park is in a quiet location amid forests, heathlands and the countryside. Here, you can enjoy the atmosphere and friendly conviviality that is characteristic of Limburg. You stay a few kilometres from the village of Arcen, known for its beautiful castle gardens and the thermal baths. And for beer lovers, you can walk or take the bike to the Hertog Jan Brewery (4 km) for a guided tour and tasting. The area is perfect to explore by bike. There are lovely cycling routes along the River Meuse and through De Maasduinen National Park. If your bikes no longer fit with your luggage, that's not a problem. You can simply hire them at the resort.

Fun in the water all year round

Thanks to the recreational pool and an indoor swimming pool, you can have fun in the water all year round. These are ideal places for swimming with young children in particular. In the summer, the recreational lake with its nice sandy beach is a wonderful place for playing and splashing around under the sun. The lake is fairly small so you can easily keep an eye on things. It is the same with the lovely indoor swimming pool with paddling pool. If you want even more water-based fun, there are various recreational lakes and swimming pools in the vicinity. Go to Thermaalbad Arcen, for example, where you can enjoy saunas and wellness treatments.

Unique shows

There is plenty to do at Roompot Resort Arcen. Challenge each other to a game of miniature golf or football or visit the cute goats in the petting zoo. If you still have energy left, have fun in the outdoor playground, the indoor playground or on the trampolines. The entertainment team are ready with even more fun activities. The exceptional shows in the park theatre are highly recommended.
If you would like a tasty pizza or portion of chips after a long day of swimming and playing, you do not have to leave the park. You will find a pizzeria, bar, snack bar and an à la carte restaurant close together. After all, holiday means not having to cook every day.

On an adventure in Germany

Now that you are here, a day out to the eastern neighbours is certainly recommended. The city of Duisburg is about a 40-minute drive away. In this old industrial city, they have transformed a former factory into an exceptional 'Landscape park’ (public park). The Irrland amusement park is recommended if you are with young children. It is an enormous park with playgrounds, swimming pools and animal enclosures.
If you like a bit if history, the old pilgrimage site of Kevelaer and the Roman excavations near Xanten are great tips. Or visit the Overloon War Museum in North Brabant that you can reach by car in 30 minutes.
