On the shores of the IJsselmeer

Discover life by the largest lake in the Netherlands. EuroParcs Enkhuizer Strand is located right next to Enkhuizen: a town with an interesting history. It’s also right on the IJsselmeer. If you have always wanted to learn to sail, you can do so at this sustainable holiday park. But you don't need to get on or in the water to have a good time. The area has all kinds of lovely villages and beautiful countryside. Get on your bike and discover it for yourself!

A refreshing dip

EuroParcs Enkhuizer Strand is located in the most easterly corner of North Holland and is a wonderful place to get a breath of fresh air. The park is surrounded by the vast Ijsselmeer lake. When the weather is good it's nice to take a refreshing dip in the lake or relax on the beach and watch your children having fun in the sand and in the water. Your dog can also enjoy the water as there is a special dog beach in the vicinity of the park.

Swim some lengths in the indoor pool

If it’s not the weather for outdoor swimming, as a guest you can go to the Enkhuizen Indoor Swimming Pool for free. This is located just around the corner from the holiday park. It is the perfect place to swim a few lengths and have fun in the water in the recreational pool.

Sailing and SUP lessons

The area around EuroParcs Enkhuizer Strand is also very popular among water sports enthusiasts. Especially (kite)surfing, SUP and sailing are popular here. Everywhere you look you will see boats passing by. If you are new to water sports, take a few sailing or SUP lessons and view the surroundings from your sailing boat or SUP board.

Enkhuizen, herring town

You can easily reach the centre of ‘Herring Town’ Enkhuizen from the park. The historic harbour, old defences and listed buildings take you back to the Golden Age. You can see everywhere that life here is has a strong connection to the water and you can learn all about it in the Zuiderzee Museum. There are also many educational games and activities for the children. You can also explore the rest of the area by (rented) bicycle or e-bike, such as the picturesque Medemblik or the historic harbour town of Hoorn.

An enchanting day out

You can also choose the magic of the ‘Sprookjeswonderland’ (Fairytale Wonderland). The name says it all: you imagine yourself in the middle of the most wonderful and beautiful fairy tales here. Enjoy wandering through the gnome woods, sailing on a boat or taking a ride on the merry-go-round. There are beautiful flower gardens and cuddly alpacas at the petting zoo. And if the weather is not so good, you can stay nice and dry in one of the many fun performances.
